WHO AM I & WHY DID I START AWARENESS SHIRTS?
Jason here 👋. I started Awareness Tees at a very low point in my life. Someone who I loved took their own life suddenly and there I was struggling to comprehend it. I still don’t fully understand why if I’m being honest. But I knew I had to make sure their journey, their struggle and their ultimate death mattered…
I started going to meetups with other loved ones of people who had committed suicide and I kept hearing the same thing again and again - that most of their loved ones suffered in silence because they didn’t know how to talk about this awful disease.
That’s when I decided I had to do something to help spread awareness and honor the people who are no longer around.
I’m proud to show you some people who have supported me since the beginning:
I started going to meetups with other loved ones of people who had committed suicide and I kept hearing the same thing again and again - that most of their loved ones suffered in silence because they didn’t know how to talk about this awful disease.
That’s when I decided I had to do something to help spread awareness and honor the people who are no longer around.

HOW DO AWARENESS TEES HELP PREVENT & RAISE AWARENESS FOR SUICIDE?
We get asked this question a lot and this stems from two things:
1. You wearing the tees immediately strikes up conversations with strangers about it - our customers have been blown away by the unexpected conversations they’ve had with strangers - in supermarkets, restaurants, walking the streets - you name it, people will stop you to talk.
2. Each purchase results in a donation to charities and research facilities actively working on the prevention of suicide.
